It's an interesting idea, but we discovered that it only illuminated a portion of the compartment at a time, with the backs of the shelves and wine racks remaining dark. It's more a convenience rather than a green invention.
Another great feature is Smart Fresh Air, which uses Wi-Fi to learn your habits of use over three weeks and establishes a daily schedule. The fridge is pre-cooled prior to when you use it (we found this to be very effective on a morning when we're getting the milk bottles ready) to maintain an optimal temperature and minimize energy use.
The InstaView Door in Door also shows a second storage compartment within the fridge which is ideal for storing food and drinks. It comes with a 24cm LED light strip to help illuminate the space and keep it organised. The compartment is accessible via both the InstaView pane as well as the main door of the fridge. We did notice that it was easier to load items in the top balcony using the Door-in-Door than from the main fridge cabinet but that's a minor quibble.
These LG fridge freezers also have other technologies to keep food fresher for longer. For instance Surround Cooling, and Pure N Fresh. lg refrigerator sale combine traditional rear and front cooling outlets with a deodoriser, and an active fan that pushes air into and around the fridge shelves. The LFXS30796D has a UVNano dispenser that emits a burst of UV light every hour to combat bacteria. A "freshness detector" will notify you when it is time it is time to replenish the contents.
The LFXCS27596S French door refrigerator comes with a 33-cubic-foot capacity. The LRDCS2603S is a top freezer with 26 cubic feet of space. Both come with InstaView Door-in-Door technology and a host of other features.
